KWCM Volunteer Spotlight:  Joan Engelhard & Julie Laccabue

We are so fortunate to have two fantastic volunteers here at KidsWork, Joan and Julie! Both have been instrumental in keeping the Museum safe, clean and fun for all our members and guests! If we could clone them, we would! ;)

Joan has been a Frankfort resident for over 48 years! She's been a KidsWork volunteer since January 2009. She worked at ITW for 34 years. We ask, why do you volunteer here? "I like kids, it's convenient since I live close by, and I like giving back to the community." When Joan is not at KidsWork, she enjoys spending time with her 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grand grandchildren.

Many of our members and guests may recognize our volunteer Julie from Jewel. When she's not there, she's helping us a lot! Julie is a longtime Frankfort resident of 40 years. She's been at KidsWork since the beginning in 2008. If you were to ask why she's been here so long. "I enjoy being around kids." Julie also gives back in other ways. She walks for causes such as Susan G. Komen to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
