I was hired to lead KidsWork Children’s Museum in August 2017. As Executive Director of the museum, I’m the caretaker of our mission. Leading a non-profit organization requires I wear many different hats. A few of my responsibilities include inspiring and managing staff and volunteers, program development, writing grants, community outreach and building partnerships that further the mission. More importantly, my focus is to create an environment of learning through interactive experiences for all our members and guests. Prior to joining KidsWork, I worked in New York City as an Account Manager at InterActive Corp., a leading media and Internet company. I also worked in Chicago at Ameritech in their International Carrier Relations group. I love living and working in Frankfort, it sure beats living in 375 sq. ft. in NYC! I'm the co-leader of my youngest daughter's Girl Scout troop. I enjoy traveling with my husband and two adventurous daughters. In my free time I like to be on the water, and read cooking and interior design books.

I have enjoyed working at KidsWork for the last three years. I enjoy seeing the smiles on the kids, and hear them laughing when they are having fun here.  Because I have been here for this long, it has been fun to get to know the parents and see how much their children have changed and watch them grow over this time.
In my spare time I love to do yoga, travel, listen to music and going to concerts, go on hikes, walk around my neighborhood and trails in the area, (and borrow my neighbor’s dogs when I do!) I adore all animals and I especially like to help my family and friends by dog sitting.

I joined the KidsWork Children’s Museum in the Fall of 2018, after I retired from a 43 year nursing career (hospital and school). Now I’m so privileged to watch children play and have fun in our energetic, learning, and discovering environment. Tuesdays are special to me as I am the storyteller, reading books that are topical, fun, and create the opportunity for a related activity afterwards. In my spare time I enjoy everything Beatles and Cubs. Traveling is a favorite, and I make frequent trips to Iowa to visit my grandchildren. I have three grown up sons, a husband of 40 years. I also have a fun dog name Toby.

I began working at KidsWork Children’s Museum during the Spring of 2018. Currently, I attend Lincoln-Way East. Being a senior, I cannot wait for graduation, and I’m excited to begin college at Drake University in the Fall of 2019. As of now, I work diligently to ensure the guests at our museum a happy and healthy learning environment—for them and their children. We place an extreme emphasis on the interaction between a parent and child, and it is my job to guarantee the guests/members of this museum a sanitary, interactive, and entertaining environment to form a stronger connection with their children. I find it enjoyable, and rewarding, to assist a parent in throwing his or her child a birthday party. When friends and family get together in celebration of a child’s birthday, and I lend a hand in setting it up, there are not many better feelings than that. On the weekends, you will find me either upstairs or downstairs picking toys off the ground or wiping down a surface. If you have any questions, however, I am never too busy to answer them.
