Nicole Underwood
Executive Director
nunderwood@kidsworkchildrensmuseum.org

I was hired to lead KidsWork Children’s Museum in August 2017. As Executive Director of the museum, I’m the caretaker of our mission. Leading a non-profit organization requires I wear many different hats. A few of my responsibilities include inspiring and managing staff and volunteers, program development and writing grants. Also, community outreach and building partnerships that further the mission. More importantly, my focus is to create an environment of learning through interactive experiences for all our members and guests. Prior to joining KidsWork, I worked in New York City as an Account Manager at InterActive Corp., a leading media and Internet company. I also worked in Chicago at Ameritech in their International Carrier Relations group. I love living and working in Frankfort, it sure beats living in 375 sq. ft. in NYC! I'm the co-leader of my youngest daughter's Girl Scout troop. I enjoy traveling with my husband and two adventurous daughters. In my free time I like to be on the water, and read cooking and interior design books.

Heather Urbanski
Operations Manager

I began working as the Operations Manager at KidsWork in August of 2019. Since joining the team, I have gotten the privilege to do so many things I love! From the day to day interactions with parents and children, to using my creative side for art projects and developing programs, I would be hard pressed to pick one thing I enjoy the most. KidsWork is truly a very special place to work. There is something magical about being around chidren as they learn and create. In my spare time, I enjoy being active, concerts, gardening and traveling with my family. If you have a few hours, I can tell you everything I love about our adorable blind rescue dog Sully.

Visitor Services Manager

I have enjoyed working at KidsWork for the last three years. I enjoy seeing the smiles on the kids, and hear them laughing when they are having fun here.  Because I have been here for this long, it has been fun to get to know the parents and see how much their children have changed and watch them grow over this time.
In my spare time I love to do yoga, travel, listen to music and going to concerts, go on hikes, walk around my neighborhood and trails in the area, (and borrow my neighbor’s dogs when I do!) I adore all animals and I especially like to help my family and friends by dog sitting.

Hi, I've been a part of KidsWork Children's Museum for almost 2 years. I have enjoyed working at the museum and watching the families have a great time! In the art area it's fun to see parents/caretakers work together making a creation out of paper towel rolls, it's amazing! It's been wonderful getting to know the many members and guests that come to visit us from near and far. On my days off I love to travel, watch television programs from around the world, and bake. My dream would to own a bakery.

Hi! I'm Jillian, I have been part of the KidsWork Children's Museum family for almost 2 years! I am currently working towards my degree to become an elementary teacher. Working with kids is always something I have enjoyed, and getting to see them express themselves at the museum is always so fun to watch. In my free time I enjoy crafting, cycling, traveling and spending time with family and friends. When I am not working, I always look forward to coming home and seeing my mini golden doodle Lucy.

Hi, I'm Lindsey! I started working at KidsWork Children's Museum in May 2022. I'm currently in college to get my degree in high school history education. Although I don't plan on teaching the age that typically comes into the museum, I love to see our regulars have fun & seeing families find their new favorite spot! When I'm not at work, I enjoy being with my friends and family, reading, and learning about new things.
