Kidswork Children’s Museum in Frankfort is seeking high school students interested in earning Community Service Hours by serving as Camp Aides this summer. Duties will include: |

Participate in science, art, reading, and physical activities with Curiosity Camp participants ages 3-5 and 6-8 |
* |
Assist Camp Counselors with set-up and clean-up activities and lunch supervision |
* |
Check in/check out camp participants |
* |
Other activities as needed |
* |
Three week commitment on Tuesday/Thursday’s or Wednesday/Friday’s |
* |
Morning or afternoon sessions |
* |
Must be willing to commit to 18-24 hours of service |

| How long have you been a KCM Volunteer? |
I have been a volunteer at KCM since December 2008.
|
| What you like/love about being a KCM volunteer? |
I love the interaction I see between child and parent/grandparent. Watching the children explore new things and seeing the excitement on their face is really rewarding. |
| Favorite Game? |
My favorite adult game is tennis. I play whenever I can get a chance.
I also enjoy a very competitive game of Hi Ho Cherry-O with my grandchildren.

| Favorite Ice cream flavor? |
My favorite ice cream is Jamoca Almond Fudge. Yum Yum !!!!!! |
| Something People would be surprised to learn about you? |
People are always surprised to know that I have 15 grandchildren. They are between 17 yrs old and 7 months (10 boys and 5 girls). |

Orientation I provides basic introductory information regarding the background, history, mission, exhibits, board structure and volunteer opportunities at the Museum. |
Orientation II provides information regarding the basics of early childhood and the ‘art of play’, the importance of customer service and universal safety precautions within the Museum. |
